Jose L. Guillen is the founding member and President of Absolut Financial Resources and holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Florida International University. He founded AFR in 1989 wherein he has been originating, structuring, funding and closing commercial real estate loans for over 29 years. Mr. Guillen has built strong relationships in the industry. As President of AFR he directs loan originations, underwriting and structuring of senior, equity, mezzanine and specialty structured debt.  Prior to AFR, Mr. Guillen led an insurance and reinsurance group out of Miami.

Juan Carlos Garcia

Juan Carlos Garcia has owned and operated his own business for over 25 years and has owned and operated commercial real estate properties for many years. His various business relationships in the United States as well as Latin American countries have attributed to his success. His entrepreneurial experience enhances his creativity in structuring loan transactions which meet our borrower’s needs.  Mr. Garcia is fluent in English and Spanish and has resided in Miami, Florida most of his life.

Luis Murillo

Luis Murillo has his B.B.A. with a concentration in finance from FIU. Mr. Murillo previously worked in the Institutional Clients Group at Citibank where he assisted clients all across Latin America. He then went on to work at Volta Global and Europa Storage Group. He now is a Director at AFR and sources senior debt, mezzanine financing, and preferred equity. Mr. Murillo is fluent in English and Spanish and now resides in Miami, Florida.

Celia Guillen

Celia Guillen has been in the real estate arena since 1984. Ms. Guillen processed and closed real estate loans on the legal side for almost 10 years then in 1994, proceeded to work on the financing side with AFR. Her experience with the legal process in real estate transactions has attributed to her success in processing and closing commercial real estate loans. During her tenure with AFR she acquired assisted living facilities, obtained CORE training and received her administrator’s license. Ms. Guillen is a key liaison in working with AFR’s clientele, leverage providers, legal counsel and third party firms.  In her capacity as Director of Operations, she oversees underwriting, due diligence process and marketing.  A Miami native, Ms. Guillen has an excellent understanding of south Florida’s real estate market.
